Follow The Yellow Brick Exit

In the Chinese province of Heilongjiang, the Public Transport Company replaced the emergency-use hammers with pairs of yellow bricks on all city buses. “The special hammers are expensive and people were always stealing them,” explained a spokesperson from the Harbin Public Transport Company.




These Colors Don’t Run (From Fun!)

“The Guardian” reports that Council on American-Islamic Relations is outraged about a coloring book depicting the events of September 11 up to the death of Osama Bin Laden (above). In the “We Shall Never Forget 9/11 Kids Coloring Book,” the passage next to this picture reads: “Children, the truth is, these terrorist acts were done by freedom-hating radical Islamic Muslim extremists. These crazy people hate the American way of life because we are FREE and our society is FREE.” Oh man, I hope my arms aren’t too tired to color from all the U-S-A fist pumping I just did! Historical Thursday: Octopus Wrestling

A glorious Thursday to you, gentlemen and ladybots! As an aficionado of all sports unique and obscure, I had to gasp in awe of the manliness of this great American pastime. Although it lost its mystique, this crazy competition was all the rage just fifty years back; it faced man against his greatest natural enemy, the octopus. Springing into popularity in during the 1960s, the sport was a feat of strength pitting man against creatures of the deep
