Everyone Is Tweeting Memes About the Washington D.C. #Metroshutdown During Their Extra Long Commute

Washington D.C. surprised everyone by declaring an unprecedented total shutdown of Metro services for at least 24 hours. This is for everyone’s safety, it’s an emergency evaluation of some dangerous electrical problems. That still leaves everyone with plenty of extra time to use gifs and memes to comment on the traffic as they make their way to work by car, bus or foot instead. Even some Twitter accounts for city services are getting in on the “fun”.
